Welcome to the Mule Shack, where we strive to provide the best horseback and general equine riding experience in Maryland. Our mission is to provide a safe and fun environment for people with all levels of riding experience. One of our passions is to rehabilitate and incorporate rescue horses into our trail riding program.
Cali came to us in horrible, crippling condition. We have kept her comfortable with pain medicine, leg wrappings and so much love. Unfortunately Cali’s legs are beyond repair and her body will not allow her to be the horse she wants to be so badly. We have made the decision to put Cali to rest to end her pain. Thank you from the bottom of my heart to each one of you who helped us save Cali. We gave her the best life she ever had and now a peaceful goodbye.

Yesterday was a day filled with very mixed emotions. The mare that started The Mule Shack left for her lease home. While we know she’ll be so very loved, spoiled, and make some little kids EXTREMELY happy, the barn is empty without her. Watch over those kids Jojo, and do what you do best we thank you for the love you’ve given back, the tears you’ve wiped, and the smiles you’ve put on our faces. Love those little kids like you know how to do.
